Renewable energy targets will likely require increases in the number of wind farms in Ireland. Wind energy development can offer a host of benefits to local communities but can also be associated with negative impacts in these areas. Our group is based in NUI Galway and is conducting research funded by the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland.
